On September 27, 2021, alderman Steven Kraaijeveld and Teun Wartenbergh of ASML open the 'Park&Ride Duynenwater' in Eersel with the largest e-bike hub in the Netherlands. It is also the first mobility hub for ASML that allows employees to cycle to office locations in and around Veldhoven after parking their car. For this P&R with 300 e-bikes, ASML is working together with mobility provider Hely.

The Park&Ride in Eersel represents a new step forward in shared mobility. Never before has a business e-bike hub with 300 e-bikes been realised. As of September 27, 2021, the employees of the innovation leader in the semiconductor industry will be able to park their car and then cycle to the office on an e-bike. All can be arranged via the Hely app.
ASML is growing fast and wants to reduce traffic pressure in the region and also encourage employees to travel sustainably. That is why ASML is now opting to create additional remote parking and to facilitate the last-mile to the office with a Hely e-bike. In addition, ASML also offers its employees the opportunity to go to the office by bus, for which a special bus line has been set up.
Hely was founded by PON & NS (Dutch Railways) to make mobility more sustainable, improve the quality of life in cities and offer travelers flexibility. Hely does not focus on one specific form of transport, but offers all types of shared transport via one app, such as e-bikes, electric cars, electric cargo bikes and electric scooters. The aim is to make the use of sustainable shared mobility as easy and accessible as using your own bicycle or car. ASML already has 15 Hely hubs spread across its office locations, where employees use Hely e-bikes to travel between office locations. A Hely Hub has also been installed as a pilot at Eindhoven Central Station, in collaboration with the Municipality Eindhoven. This facilitates the first or last mile from the office to public transport. In total, more than 650 e-bikes from Hely will soon be driving daily for ASML in the Eindhoven region.
The Netherlands already has more than 80 Hely mobility hubs: in Alkmaar, Amsterdam, Rotterdam, The Hague, Utrecht, Haarlem, Delft, Ede, Leiden, Helmond and Eindhoven. Here, employees and residents opt for sustainable shared mobility every day.
